The design maximizes efficiency and flexibility, enabling easy changes in the general layout. The new store will be bright and uncluttered, with no hard aisles and one consistent, hard-surface floor throughout. All fixtures will be on casters, ensuring ease in movement, and all hardware will be interchangeable between fixtures.

“Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th stores are considered among the finest outlets in the industry today,” stated Stephen R. Karp, Chairman of New England Development. He continued, “Saks Fifth Avenue is synonymous with American fashion and we are excited to have this iconic brand as one of our anchor stores.”

Palm Beach Outlets, located immediately off Interstate 95 on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard in West Palm Beach, will feature nearly 100 outlet stores, as well as an adjacent retail center with a dynamic mix of national tenants including Nordstrom Rack and Whole Foods Market.  Construction is moving along at a rapid pace in preparation for the grand opening in mid February 2014. Biscayne Beach Luxury Condominium to Rise 51 Stories in the Heart of Miami’s East Edgewater Neighborhood

The 399-unit high-rise will bring the beach to the city boasting Miami’s newest beach club directly on Biscayne Bay.

Internationally-acclaimed celebrity interior designer Thom Filicia will bring his sophisticated classic style to the aesthetic and sensibility of Biscayne Beach.

MIAMI, FL – July 15, 2013 – The beach just got closer to the City of Miami courtesy of Biscayne Beach, the newest luxury condominium to launch in the fast-growing neighborhood of East Edgewater. Located on a 3-acre site, the 51-story high-rise tower will boast Miami’s newest beach club with 335 linear feet directly on the beautiful waters of Biscayne Bay – complete with white sand, swimming platforms and water sports. Biscayne Beach will break ground in the first quarter of 2014, with completion slated for 2016.

Biscayne Beach will offer 399 luxury residences, with layouts ranging from one- to four-bedroom floorplans with den options, as well as exclusive penthouses with private rooftop garden terraces. All units will feature floor-to-ceiling glass windows, oversized balconies, and panoramic sweeping views of Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach and the City skyline. Preconstruction prices range from the $400,000’s to multi-million dollar penthouses.

Biscayne Beach is being developed by a joint venture between Florida-based developer Eastview Development and global real estate investment firm GTIS Partners. Eastview Development’s principals have over 120 years of experience combined in developing, financing and marketing residential and commercial real estate projects across the United States. Headquartered in New York, GTIS currently manages approximately $2.3 billion of committed equity with 39 residential projects across 11 states in the U.S., and more than 20 residential developments completed and underway in Brazil.

“Miami’s East Edgewater is one of the City's most vibrant neighborhoods, centrally-located near key employment centers, cultural and entertainment outlets, shopping and dining destinations, and transportation links," said Robert Kohn, Partner with Eastview Development. “Biscayne Beach offers buyers from across the U.S. and around the world an opportunity to enjoy a premium lifestyle with all the conveniences of luxury condo living and the unique amenities that come with owning a piece of the City's first beach club."

East Edgewater is conveniently situated with the Venetian Causeway to the South, the Julia Tuttle Causeway to the North, Biscayne Bay and the Beaches to the East, and Biscayne Boulevard to the West. This neighborhood is at the center of numerous recreational and lifestyle destinations, including the Design District (home to Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Celine and many more luxury boutiques), the Downtown Arts and Entertainment District (the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Museum Park, etc.), the Wynwood Arts District, and the shops and restaurants of Midtown.

“Miami’s standing as a center for international business, shopping and leisure has fueled the resurgence of its real estate market beyond that of most cities in the United States,” said Robert Vahradian, Senior Managing Director of GTIS Partners. “For Biscayne Beach, we have tapped the most talented industry leaders to help us deliver a development that draws upon the best elements of the beach and city while appealing to a global clientele.”

Adding to the excitement of Biscayne Beach will be a collaboration with celebrity designer Thom Filicia, whose New York City-based firm Thom Filicia, Inc. will serve as the condominium’s design partner, making Biscayne Beach Filica’s first residential project in Miami. An “A-List Designer” according to Elle DĂ©cor and named one of the “Top 100 Designers” by House Beautiful, Filicia has designed properties for numerous celebrities including Tina Fey, Peter Jennings, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. He has also been the creative mastermind behind several W Hotels, including the iconic W Westwood in L.A.  Filicia's recognition expanded beyond the design world when he was cast in the Emmy-Award winning hit show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Filica’s camera-friendly personality and design acumen have led to numerous TV appearances including The Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning America, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The View, The Today Show, Ellen, Late Night with Conan O'Brien and many more.

“The beautiful design elements by Thom Filicia combined with the area’s first and only beach club will make Biscayne Beach the hottest address in the East Edgewater neighborhood,” said Alicia Cervera Lamadrid, Managing Partner of Cervera Real Estate, Biscayne Beach’s exclusive sales and marketing firm. “The resort-like amenities and unobstructed views are all available at surprising prices for waterfront property, which is increasingly difficult to find in this cosmopolitan city.”

The launch of Biscayne Beach coincides with Miami’s emergence as a top residential market for buyers hailing from across the U.S., Latin America, Europe and Asia. Miami’s accelerating sales activity is being fueled by a surge of demand for urban, multifamily living. In the City’s urban core alone, more than 97% of the 23,000 condos built during the last real estate cycle are now occupied, according to the Miami Downtown Development Authority. Diminishing supply, rising home values, and a gradually improving economy are ushering in the next cycle of development.

Biscayne Beach residences will feature 10-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass, and water and city views from every unit. Beach Club amenities will include jet skis, wind sails, paddle boards, a beach bar/restaurant, and beach club pool. The lobby of the building will feature a high-end restaurant for residents, beach club members, and visitors to enjoy. Additional building amenities include private lobby entrances for residents and beach club members, separate owner parking, indoor/outdoor club bar, tennis center, basketball half-court, beauty center, art gallery, theatre, business center, meeting rooms, spa and fitness center.

THE ANN NORTON SCULPTURE GARDENS PRESENTS THE HOMAGE TO PICASSO, 1973 MARCH 27 – APRIL 28, 2013

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA (March 5, 2013) – The Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens is pleased to present The Homage to Picasso Portfolio, 1973 taking place in the galleries from March 27 – April 28, 2013.

The Homage to Picasso portfolio represents a unique event in the history of printmaking. In the early 1970s, with the intent of honoring the fertile genius of Picasso and his role as a catalyst for many different styles of twentieth century art, German critic Wieland Schmied and German publishing house The PropyläenVerlag initiated a call for prints.

Seventy-one artists were asked to take part. They came from seventeen countries, different generations, and worked in widely varied styles. The artists include: Roy Lichtenstein, Enrico Baj, Robert Motherwell, Niki de Saint Phalle, Andy Warhol, Louise Nevelson, Wifredo Lam, Robert Indiana, Joan Miro and many others. While numerous artists directly referenced Picasso in the prints they created—such as Richard Hamilton, Pol Bury and David Hockney — others including Jim Dine, Dan Flavin and Frank Stella made works in their own styles with no Picasso-related content. When Richard Hamilton was invited to submit for the Picasso Portfolio, Hamilton’s first thought was to pay respect to Picasso’s masterly craftsmanship and love of medium.  Hamilton had seen the famous “Las Meninas (the Court Maidens)” by Velasquez in 1972 and thought it ideal to do an etching from his painting using several of Picasso’s styles.  In this imaginative court scene, the artist was able to play with Valezquez’s portrait as well as the interchange of personalities. The entire portfolio contains seventy-one prints.

To view a conversation with Hamilton, please visit: http://www.museodelprado.es/en/exhibitions/exhibitions/at-the-museum/richard-hamilton-picassos-meninas/video/

There are many interesting anomalies connected with this portfolio. The Homage to Picasso was officially issued in 1973, but individual prints bear dates ranging from 1971 to 1976, depending on their actual completion date. The catalog for the portfolio, which is out of print and unavailable except in certain libraries, does not include many prints completed after the official date. There are three editions of this project created—an edition of 30 for museums and galleries and two editions (each of 45) for the PropyläenVerlag and the Patheon Presse.

The historic Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens, Inc. is a recognized 501(c)(3) operating foundation established in 1977 by the prominent sculptor Ann Weaver Norton (1905-1982). The organization has grown to be an important cultural institution giving the community and visitors an opportunity to explore nature and art in an environmentally conscious urban environment. Dedicated to preserving the historic beauty of The Ann Norton Sculpture Garden, the nationally designated property and 2.2 acre urban gardens are home to over 300 species of tropical palms and native plants — one of the most significant collections in Florida.

The gardens are conveniently located at 2051 South Flagler Drive, in West Palm Beach, Florida. The rare palm and sculpture gardens, exhibition galleries and artist studio are currently open Wednesday-Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Available services include: exhibitions, guided tours of the gardens and Norton's original sculpture studio, guest lectures, and educational programs. All programs promote a preservation ethic and incorporate the arts, environmental awareness, and interpretive history of Ann Weaver Norton.
