The house will be packed at the legendary
Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach on Saturday, February 1, 2014 as the American
Cancer Society will host The Main Event
in its quest to put an end to cancer. The
gala, now in its 56th year will deliver a “one-two punch” with a boxing
theme that is being spearheaded by all-male chairmen.
Co-chaired by heavyweights Donald J. Trump,
Thomas C. Quick, Patrick M. Park, and Vince Cerone, with Bob Holuba and Leslie Spero as Vice Chairmen and Petra Levin as Honorary Chairman, the evening will
also feature a Special Guest appearance from World Boxing Champion Ray “Boom
Boom” Mancini. Mancini held the World Boxing Association Lightweight Championship
from 1982 to 1984.

and Gala Co-Chairman Tom Quick said, “Since it began over a century ago, the
American Cancer Society continues to fight a disease that has touched every
person on some level throughout every corner of the world. Our “Main Event” theme perfectly coincides with the American Cancer
Society’s national campaign to ‘finish the fight’ against cancer. We have a
great line up in our chairmen and with Ray Mancini as our special guest, we
know that this year’s event will be a “knock-out.”

the VIP Champagne Reception and Preferred Seating at the dinner. The boxing
bell chimes at 6:30pm for the VIP Reception in the Gold and White Ballroom and
7:00pm for the general poolside reception before the dinner in the Ballroom at
8:00pm.
