LEGENDARY STEVEN TYLER TO HEADLINE

Palmetto Bay, FLA (January 14, 2015) – Following a year celebrating its
20th Anniversary, the Everglades Foundation announced today that the
legendary Steven Tyler will perform alongside backing Nashville based band,
Loving Mary for the 10th Annual ForEverglades Benefit on Saturday, February 14,
2015 at The Breakers Palm Beach.
Tyler is the iconic songwriter and prolific voice of the best-selling
American rock band, Aerosmith and an avid philanthropist, most recently
performing at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, Norway. Everglades Foundation supporters will receive
an exclusive performance by Tyler who will bring with him a little bit of
Nashville country to his classic rock set.

such an acclaimed artist help bring awareness to protecting and restoring America’s
Everglades is appreciated and we are grateful for Steven Tyler’s support.”
Tyler is considered on of music’s most recognizable and dynamic
frontmen and has been cited by Rolling Stone as “one of the greatest singers of
all time.” Tyler and Aerosmith have sold
more than 150 million records worldwide, he has won four Grammy Awards, six
American Music Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, and an Emmy Award. In addition to having nine number one hits,
25 gold, 18 platinum and 12 multi-platinum album certifications, Tyler, along
with the rest of his band members were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall
of Fame in 2001. In 2013, Tyler was awarded with the Founder’s Award at the
ASCAP Pop Awards and was inducted into the Song Writer’s Hall of Fame.
Notable musical guests who have supported the benefit in past years
include Zac Brown Band, who performed alongside Jimmy Buffet, ZZ Top, Dave Matthews,
Kenny Chesney, Sting, Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine, Daryl Hall
and John Oates, Diana Ross, and John Mellencamp.
The
ForEverglades Benefit raises over $2 million annually to support restoration
science to protect and restore this fragile ecosystem that provides fresh water
for nearly 8 million Floridians. The Everglades Foundation board of directors
supports all of the Foundation’s administrative and fundraising expenses,
allowing 100 percent of the funds raised at the benefit to directly support
these programs.
