THE ROTARY CLUB PALM BEACH WELCOMES LILI BERMUDA TO PALM BEACH

PALM BEACH, FL (December 16, 2020) – The Rotary Club Palm Beach met for one of its final 2020 meetings on Thursday, December 10, 2020 and featured guest speaker Isabelle Ramsay-Brackstone of Lili Bermuda. The meeting commenced at the Flagler Steakhouse Palm Beach and comprised several members including: President Sarah Fattori, Jacqueline Albarran, Marilyn Rautio, Cecilia Cosgrove, Richard Giles, Riccardo Boehm, Barbara Bielenberg, and Chung Wong.

Isabelle Ramsay-Bracktone, the proprietor of Palm Beach’s only perfumery, Lili Bermuda joined the group on Zoom providing a historied conversation on her company and its origins coming from the island of Bermuda. Her signature scent, the Mary Celestia comes from a ship of the same name that sunk off the coast of Bermuda in the 1800s. Found in the wreck was an intact, never opened bottle of perfume made by a prominent perfume house on Bond Street in London and from it, Ramsay-Brackstone was able to replicate the scent with a fragrance reminiscent of the sea.

Said Rotary Club Palm Beach President, Sara Fattori, “It was a great pleasure having Isabelle speak to the group about her perfume, the company and the mysterious past of the Mary Celeste.” We are thrilled to have Isabelle as a new friend of our Club and a connection to the Rotarians of Bermuda.

January will welcome a presentation from “Engineers without Borders” www.ewb-usa.org on the 7th and FAU Biological Sciences Professor, Dr. Stephen Kajiura, an expert on sharks on the 14th.
